Pharmacare Act  Mr. Speaker, we know very well where the members of the official opposition stands on the bill. Obviously they are against it. They do not care, and it is very easy for them to be critical about it. I thank my colleague for the tremendous work they did in shaping the bill with the government.

Pharmacare Act  Mr. Speaker, through our bilateral health agreements with the provinces and territories for the Canadian dental care plan and now pharmacare, we are delivering on the promise that every Canadian deserves better health care. Thanks to this plan, nine million women and gender-diverse Canadians across the country will be able to access the contraception and reproductive autonomy they deserve.

I know it is past his bedtime, but his mommy has given him an opportunity to hear daddy speak. Second, I would like to say that is not what I said in my speech. Congratulations to Young Laval Athletes  Mr. Speaker, today I want to pay tribute to an exceptional group of young athletes from Laval who outscored the competition to win gold at the 2024 Copa Surf New England tournament on March 10. Congratulations to Alessio, Alexandre, Alexis, Ahmed, Adriano, Damian, Gianni, Ghilas, Jacob, Juliano, Ken, Kevin, Kouasseu, London, Lucas, Mohamed and Nicholas.

Cancer Awareness Month  Mr. Speaker, on this last day of Cancer Awareness Month, I would like to share my personal history and that of thousands of people in Laval. Since February 2013, I have lived every day with gratitude for my remission. However, cancer continues to have an impact on lives, including that of my dear sister Nina, who is currently in treatment.

Beyond partisanship and political views, Brian Mulroney had a big-picture perspective on key aspects that are unquestionably essential for Canadians and for the growth of our country.

Tourism Industry  Mr. Speaker, Quebec is blessed with tourist attractions that appeal to Quebeckers, Canadians and the rest of the world. Quebec's tourism sector accounts for more than 3% of jobs and 2% of the GDP. Can the minister tell us how our government will ensure that Quebec's tourism sector achieves its full growth potential, be it for sustainable tourism, agri-tourism, outdoor experiences, indigenous tourism or rural tourism?

Taiwan Strait  Mr. Speaker, today I want to draw attention to civil aviation safety issues over the Taiwan Strait. Since January 30, China's civil aviation administration has been in clear breach of International Civil Aviation Organization regulations. China changed flight routes and revoked the 2015 cross-strait agreement without consulting Taiwan.

Canadian Dental Care Plan  Mr. Speaker, many seniors in Alfred-Pellan and across Canada are neglecting their oral health because they cannot afford dental care. Untreated dental problems can escalate, causing a person's general health to deteriorate and putting even more strain on an already overburdened health care system.

Justice  Mr. Speaker, our bail reform bill received royal assent this week. This legislation is the result of consultations with and close collaboration between our government, all the provinces and territories, and Canada's major police associations. Canadians need to have confidence in our justice system and know that it will protect them from harm.
