Electoral Participation Act  Mr. Speaker, forgive me if I am wrong, but I do not believe our hon. colleague is in her actual seat.

Mental Health and Addictions  Madam Speaker, after nine years of the NDP-Liberal government, six British Columbians are dying every day from overdose. Deaths in B.C. are up 380%. Overdose is the leading cause of death for children aged 10 to 18 in B.C. Despite this, the Minister of Mental Health and Addictions claims that B.C.'

Pharmacare Act  Mr. Speaker, that is a little rich from a member who has supported he most costly government in the history of our country at every step of the way. He approved the $61-billion budget that the government announced just recently. At every step of the way, the member has done the bidding of his Liberal coalition.

Pharmacare Act  Mr. Speaker, there were 43 amendments. Only an NDP member would say that they worked hard for two years and came up with a four-page document. We had 43 amendments, and for five and a half hours we had to listen to a filibuster, as we are tonight.

Pharmacare Act  Mr. Speaker, at every step of the way, we asked for clarification from the minister and his charges for definitions and terms that were contained within this four-page document. The member would like to stand up, wildly move his hands, speak very loudly and conflate the issues. This is not universal pharmacare.

Pharmacare Act  Mr. Speaker, it is an honour to stand here and talk about what is being billed as universal pharmacare but what we know is not universal pharmacare. Before I go down the path of our debate tonight, it is about 5:18 p.m. back home in British Columbia, which would mean that my granddaughter Ren is being picked up from our house.

Pharmacare Act  The member heckles me and laughs at me right now from down at the far end. Mr. Speaker, I have a great deal of respect for my colleague from New Westminster—Burnaby, and he is a fellow British Columbian. We have worked collaboratively before. At every step of the way, we introduced common-sense amendments.

Pharmacare Act  Madam Speaker, my hon. colleague has been in this chamber for a very long time and knows that we cannot do indirectly what we cannot do directly. To assert that Conservative members are drinking and coming into the chamber intoxicated is incredibly unparliamentary. I would ask that he withdraw those comments.

Pharmacare Act  Madam Speaker, I apologize to our hon. colleague. I rise on a point of order. In a debate such as this, there seems to be, according to our constitutional requirements, a lack of quorum.

Business of Supply  Madam Chair, my bill would make it an aggravating factor during sentencing if the victim of an assault is a nurse or first responder. Can the minister tell this House what actions she can take to pass Bill C-321 today, tomorrow or anytime?

Business of Supply  Madam Chair, I did ask how much money was in budget 2024 with respect to violence in the workplace.
