Thank you, everyone, for voting for the chair. Welcome to the justice committee. We had a very good committee last session and I'm assuming we'll have the same process again this time.

There are some new members who I want to welcome to the committee.

Really the only thing we had on today's agenda was the election of the chair, so my recommendation is that for next Tuesday we will do the routine procedures first and then we will have a subcommittee on agenda to figure out what we're doing.

I will just remind the committee that next Thursday we do not have a committee because we're having a Friday schedule.

We will do routine motions and then we'll do the subcommittee. As well as we can, we'll figure out what we're going to do for the rest of the year up to the end of December. We have a couple of meetings before the first break, and then I think we have six or eight meetings after that. Is that okay?

Some hon. members

Agreed.
