International Trade  Mr. Speaker, the Deputy Prime Minister has said several times that all parties involved were consulted extensively in discussions on CUSMA and its implementation. Yesterday, in an appearance at the Standing Committee on International Trade, Dairy Farmers of Canada clearly said that they had not been consulted at all.

Agriculture and Agri-Food  Mr. Speaker, the agricultural economy has reached the point of no return. The raid blockades are having a disastrous impact on the market, so disastrous that farmers are telling me they may run out of food for their animals this week. Meanwhile, the Minister of Agriculture and Agri-Food was all smiles in Washington, where she had her picture taken with officials from Mexico and Argentina.

Community Support Organization  Mr. Speaker, one of the most precious gifts in life is to have a child. Unfortunately, some families face the daily challenge of raising a child with a limitation. I would like to recognize the contribution of an organization in my riding that provides support and respite to many families who are dealing with that challenge, the Association d'entraide communautaire La Fontaine.

The Economy  Mr. Speaker, the numerous rail blockades have already had serious repercussions on our agriculture sector. Grain from the west is not moving. Farmers in Quebec and the Atlantic provinces are having to ration propane. Mills in my riding, including Agri-Marché, are facing shortages as early as next week.

Telecommunications  Madam Speaker, many households and businesses in my riding live with an Internet connection or cellular service that is spotty or non-existent. I am one of those people. In some countries, people struggle to feed themselves, but their Internet and cell service is decent. Here, the Liberal government promised to connect all Canadians by 2030, and we call ourselves a developed country.

Royal Canadian Mounted Police Act  Madam Speaker, I thank my colleague opposite for his question and, above all, for his kind words in my regard. I am a new MP. In my previous professional life, in my public and political life, I was always someone who looked ahead. There is no reason why people cannot change their minds.

Royal Canadian Mounted Police Act  Madam Speaker, I thank my colleague for her kind words. Beauce is a rural riding that is close to the border. We share a border with the state of Maine. We must pay particular attention to rural crime, but the concern I raised earlier has to do with consultation of people on the ground.

Royal Canadian Mounted Police Act  Madam Speaker, I thank my colleague for his question. I think that the tweet posted at the time had significant implications. Figures have been released on the number of illegal border crossings, especially at Roxham Road. We are talking about some 40,000 people. I do not think that underestimating the implications of this tweet is the best solution.

Royal Canadian Mounted Police Act  Madam Speaker, as this is my first speech, I would like to say hello to the people in my riding of Beauce. I thank them for the opportunity to bring their issues to Ottawa. I have always been proud of the fact that I am from Beauce and I accept with humility the unique opportunity to represent my constituents.

Royal Canadian Mounted Police Act  Mr. Speaker, I congratulate my colleague on her excellent speech. Some witnesses said that, despite four years of work on this issue, there has been no consultation with the Canada Border Services Agency and Royal Canadian Mounted Police unions. Is the member concerned about that?

International Trade  Mr. Speaker, I would like to take advantage of the presence of Canadian dairy farmers on the Hill this week to remind the government that it promised to conduct impact studies on the concessions made in previous free trade agreements. The government is about to ratify a new agreement, but it has still not disclosed the impact of those concessions.

International Trade  Madam Speaker, many businesses in my riding are worried about the impact of the new agreement. The government made significant concessions and the agriculture sector is among the hardest hit. We asked for studies and more information about the impacts these concessions may have on our industry several times but we have yet to receive anything.

Canada-United States-Mexico Agreement Implementation Act  Madam Speaker, I appreciated my colleague's speech. He spoke a lot about innovation and technology, which was very interesting. I think it is important and worthwhile for SMEs to have access to new technologies. You mentioned that SMEs are very important. They are important in your riding, in my riding and in many ridings across Quebec and Canada.

Canada-United States-Mexico Agreement Implementation Act  Mr. Speaker, I thank my hon. colleague for his speech. I enjoyed his history lesson on security. My question is about another aspect of security, namely food safety. Opening up our markets is great, but what assurances do we have that other countries will apply the same standards as we do here on our products?

Canada-United States-Mexico Agreement Implementation Act  Madam Speaker, I thank my hon. colleague opposite for his speech. Many businesses in my riding are feeling the effects of the new agreement. The agricultural sector is one of those hardest hit. Supply-managed producers, including dairy farmers, will see their market shrink by 3.6%.
