Brain Cancer Awareness Day  Mr. Speaker, October 24 marks Brain Cancer Awareness Day in Canada. Thanks to the Hats for Hope campaign, this date has become a symbol of solidarity in response to this devastating disease. Every day is a struggle for patients, but support and hope grow every year. Tomorrow, let us wear a toque or hoodie, take a photo, share it on social media and be a bearer of hope.

National Newspaper Week  Mr. Speaker, congratulations on being elected. Esteemed colleagues, this being National Newspaper Week, I would like to speak about Stéphane St-Amour's career at Courrier Laval. He contributed to this newspaper for 40 years despite the challenges he faced. Stéphane began as an arts and business reporter and went on to cover municipal politics in Laval.

National Nursing Week  Madam Speaker, this is National Nursing Week, and I want to express my heartfelt gratitude and appreciation for the incredible work that nurses do every day. They are unsung heroes who work tirelessly to care for, comfort and support those who need it. Our lives are vastly improved by the dedication, compassion and expertise of Michelle, Nicole, Johanne, Kathy, Jay, Hassan, Karim, Frantz and all nurses, particularly those at the Cité-de-la-Santé hospital in Laval.

Liam Schmidt  Mr. Speaker, I would like to highlight the performance of our Laval athletes at the 56th Quebec Games finals, which were held from March 3 to March 11 in Rivière‑du‑Loup. They won eight gold, six silver and 11 bronze medals. They make us proud. The performance of young Liam Schmidt from Alfred-Pellan deserves special recognition.
