Fall Economic Statement Implementation Act, 2023  Mr. Speaker, I would first like to congratulate my colleague from across the floor who represents LaSalle—Émard—Verdun, and I wish him all the best in his future endeavours and all the best to his family. Further, I will be splitting my time with the member for Fort McMurray—Cold Lake.

Questions Passed as Orders for Returns  With regard to meetings hosted or held by executives from Crown corporations which occurred at off­site locations, such as resorts or conference centres, since January 1, 2016, broken down by year: what are the details of each such meeting, including the (i) date, (ii) location, including the address, (iii) name of the venue, (iv) purpose of the meeting, (v) list of attendees, (vi) total expenditures relating to the meeting, (vii) itemized breakdown of the expenditures?

Christmas  Madam Speaker, in 1973, Audrey Martin knew her neighbour was an unemployed, single mother who had recently lost a child. Her neighbour had very little in her cupboards and nothing under the tree for her three-year-old son. On Christmas Eve, Audrey Martin showed up at her neighbour's door with a Christmas miracle.

Carbon Pricing  Mr. Speaker, a desperate, panicked Prime Minister spent this past weekend calling senators and pleading with them to kill Bill C-234. Yesterday, his NDP-Liberal government got its wish when the senators betrayed farmers, gutting this important bill and keeping the carbon tax. This keeps food prices high and farmers struggling.

Carbon Pricing  Mr. Speaker, after eight years of the NDP-Liberal government, everyone is struggling. Farmers across Canada buy their goods retail and sell what they produce wholesale. Farmers are now paying $150,000 in inflationary carbon tax. They know the Prime Minister is just not worth the cost.

Questions on the Order Paper  With regard to the government’s intention to cut $1 billion from the defence appropriation: (a) what is the itemized breakdown of each item that the government will cut from the Department of National Defense in order to reach $1 billion in cuts; and (b) how much is expected to be saved from each cut in (a)?

Affordable Housing and Groceries Act  Madam Speaker, with regard to Bill C-56, would the member for Aurora—Oak Ridges—Richmond Hill agree that a band-aid covering an infection does not actually heal the infection and only makes it worse? When I look at the farmers in my riding, they are the only people I know of who buy retail and sell wholesale.

Questions Passed as Orders for Returns  With regard to the Royal Canadian Air Force (RCAF), since January 1, 2016: (a) how many pilots have (i) retired, (ii) received their wings, broken down by year; (b) what is the current pilot shortage level and when does the RCAF anticipate it will no longer have a shortage; (c) what is the average wait time for a waiver decision for former RCAF pilots who wish to reenlist without possessing the new educational requirements which were not in place when they received their wings; (d) did the government change the waiver procedure related to the instances in (c), specifically concerning whether the Chief of Defence Staff can authorize such a waiver or whether the waiver must be authorized by the Minister of National Defence, and, if so, (i) what was the change, (ii) on what date did the change occur, (iii) what was the rationale for the change; and (e) for each waiver application for a former RCAF pilot to reenlist, since 2016, what was the (i) date the application was made, (ii) date a decision was made, (iii) decision?

Questions on the Order Paper  With regard to delays in the reimbursement of meal expenses for Canadian Armed Forces members serving in Poland: (a) what was the total number and total value of meal expense reimbursements (i) requested between January 1 and June 1, 2023, (ii) issued as of June 7, 2023; (b) what was the average number of days between when the reimbursement was requested and when the payment was issued; (c) what are the reasons why reimbursements were delayed; and (d) on what date were or will each of the reasons in (c) be rectified?

Questions on the Order Paper  With regard to Canadian Armed Forces (CAF) members having to purchase their own equipment in the last two years: (a) how many instances is the CAF aware of that were a result of shortages in what the CAF provides to its members; (b) what is the estimated value of the purchases in (a); (c) what are the details of all such purchases that were eventually reimbursed by the government, including, for each, the (i) item description and quantity, (ii) amount of reimbursement, (iii) month of purchase, (iv) month of reimbursement; (d) what measures were taken by the CAF to ensure that members serving abroad had all of the equipment needed prior to their arrival abroad; and (e) were there any instances where CAF members arrived in a country without being equipped with all of the necessary equipment, and, if so, what are the details, including, for each, the (i) country, (ii) number of CAF members impacted, (iii) details of what was not provided, (iv) date members arrived, (v) status of whether the equipment has since been provided, (vi) reason the equipment or gear was not provided?

Stanley Cup Winner  Mr. Speaker, Saskatchewan did not have an NHL team. However, in 2017, two young men from Saskatchewan, Justin Reeves and Greg Moore, made a social media plea to adopt the Vegas Golden Knights as Saskatchewan's team. At the same time, a young man named Brett Howden was playing for the Moose Jaw Warriors as their captain.

Questions Passed as Orders for Returns  With regard to government expenditures related to the Prime Minister's residence and family that are reimbursed or partially reimbursed to taxpayers, since 2016, broken down by year: (a) what was the total amount spent on (i) food, (ii) cable and internet services, (iii) mobile devices and data plans; and (b) what was the total amount reimbursed by the Prime Minster for expenses incurred on (i) food, (ii) cable and internet services, (iii) mobile devices and data plans?

Passports  Mr. Speaker, every year, Canadians of all stripes travel to France to honour those who made the ultimate sacrifice at Vimy Ridge. I myself have made that trip to a place where Canada defined itself as a nation and a place that unites us all. That is why everyone was stunned, including veterans like me, that the government has decided that it needs to wipe it and other important symbols that define our nation from the new passport design.

Passports  Mr. Speaker, it was this Prime Minister who said veterans were asking for too much. The legion membership was disappointed, saying, “Removing that image was...a poor decision.” The Vimy Foundation, whose mission is to teach Canadians' shared history, said its members were disappointed, especially with the decision coming just a month after the the 106th anniversary of the Battle of Vimy Ridge.
