Carbon Pricing  Mr. Speaker, we are going to say it again. The Canada carbon rebate puts more money in the hands of eight out of 10 Canadians every single day. What we have not talked about today is the cost of not taking action on climate. I know that the member opposite was impacted by hurricane Fiona.

Carbon Pricing  Mr. Speaker, again, the Canada carbon rebate is putting more money in the pockets of Nova Scotians. On April 4, the average family outside of Halifax is going to get $989. Add that to what we are doing in $10-a-day day care, what we are doing in lowering taxes for everybody, what we are doing in so many things for people, especially the oil to heat pump program.

Carbon Pricing  Mr. Speaker, the carbon rebate puts more money in the hands of eight out of 10 Canadians. Just this morning, I had a call from Keith in my riding. He is retired and has been keeping track of all of his invoices since January 1. He was delighted to tell me that even with adding a little extra, because he might not have known the impact on his morning orange, he is ahead $68 with every single climate action rebate cheque.

Carbon Pricing  Mr. Speaker, I love to get up to talk about my province of Newfoundland and Labrador and how the carbon rebate is putting more money back into pockets. With the rural top-up on April 15, the average family of four in my riding all throughout Newfoundland and Labrador, and part of St.

Carbon Pricing  Mr. Speaker, I am proud to be part of a government that understands climate change is real and understands the impact it is having on farmers from coast to coast to coast. I have seen first-hand as I have travelled the impact of hurricanes and the impact of drought. All that has a cost on our farmers.

Carbon Pricing  Mr. Speaker, I really find that quite rich coming from the member opposite, the member for Tobique—Mactaquac, when Conservatives voted against a raise for our hard-working DND employees. They voted against the increase for ACOA last fall when we had the all-night voting marathon.

Carbon Pricing  Mr. Speaker, I want to remind the member opposite of the rural top-up coming to the carbon rebate. A family of four in Alberta is going to see $2,160. A family in my riding is going to see $1,430 when they live in a rural area. My friends, we know what it is like. That is why we are there to help people with the carbon rebate.

Atlantic Canada Opportunities Agency  Madam Speaker, the hon. member for Egmont is a strong voice for P.E.I. and for Atlantic Canada. Down east, we have a saying, “Tory times are tough times”, and last week, the Conservatives reminded us why, because they voted against funding to help us rebuild from hurricane Fiona.

Carbon Pricing  Mr. Speaker, I love to see another member from Atlantic Canada stand up because, again, he voted against ACOA funding last week. Also, does he not realize that that is jobs, that is communities and that was 95 projects in his riding with over $60 million in jobs, helping to grow the economy and putting food on people's tables?

Public Services and Procurement  Mr. Speaker, it is great to see my hon. colleague from Atlantic Canada stand up. I wish he and his seven other colleagues had stood up last week. On this side of the House, we know the great work that the Atlantic Canada Opportunities Agency does for communities, for not-for-profits and for businesses.

Carbon Pricing  Mr. Speaker, my hon. colleague is correct that Fiona did incredible damage, and I am proud, as the minister responsible for the Atlantic Canada Opportunities Agency, that we did receive $300 million. One hundred million of that has gone to small craft harbours, and $40 million has gone to Parks Canada.
