Business of Supply  Mr. Speaker, I thank my colleague from Cloverdale—Langley City for her speech. Indeed, the Bloc Québécois is in favour of that. In our view, these famous amendments should have come long before now, because they are essential for the economic well–being of the people in our communities.

Business of Supply  Madam Speaker, I thank my colleague for his speech. The Bloc Québécois supports this motion. In May, I was in the House and I questioned the Minister of Innovation, Science and Industry on the problems associated with commercial rent. We already knew at that point that the program was not working very well, since only 10% of businesses were eligible for it, according to a survey undertaken very early on by the Canadian Federation of Independent Business.

Bills of Exchange Act  Madam Speaker, I thank my colleague from Parkdale—High Park for his speech. I felt that there was some openness. Personally, I would like to know what the procedures are. My colleague talked about his experience at the Department of Canadian Heritage. He also mentioned the Truth and Reconciliation Commission of Canada's call to action 81, which calls for the installation of a residential schools monument in Ottawa.

Office of the Auditor General  Madam Speaker, at yesterday's meeting of the Standing Committee on Public Accounts, the Auditor General reiterated that she does not have the budget to scrutinize all the new pandemic spending. That is troubling. She reiterated that she will not be able to analyze the $343 billion in new spending unless she gets additional resources.

Office of the Auditor General  Madam Speaker, the Liberals awarded an untendered contract worth $900 million to their friends at WE Charity. They awarded another untendered contract worth $237 million to Frank Baylis, who was still a Liberal member of the House just last year. How many other similar contracts exist that we just do not know about?

Criminal Code  Mr. Speaker, I thank my colleague for his speech. I wonder if we are wasting our time today. Yesterday, we were talking about conversion therapy, a file Quebec has been a leader on, but still has to wait for Ottawa. We are always trailing behind Ottawa because we are always waiting for Ottawa to get moving and get on board.

Quebec Marine Day  Mr. Speaker, I am very pleased to rise to mark this 20th Quebec Marine Day. This year's theme is “All in the Same Boat”. This is a special day back home in the Lower St. Lawrence since we are North America's maritime gateway and one of the longest waterways in the world. We are “all in the same boat” because the St.

Criminal Code  Mr. Speaker, I thank my colleague from Mégantic—L'Érable for his speech. I also appreciate his openness about Bill C-6. I do have a few questions for him. On June 15, the leader of the Conservative Party, the hon. member for Durham, tweeted, “Let me be clear, conversion therapy has no place in Canada and should be banned”.

Criminal Code  Mr. Speaker, I thank my hon. colleague for participating in the debate and for his speech, which is very much appreciated. I take it that he will vote in favour of the bill. I know that some of his colleagues may be opposed to the bill. However, I will not directly mention the Conservative members who will be voting against this bill.

Judges Act  Madam Speaker, I congratulate my colleague from Lethbridge for her speech. I am also pleased to hear that she thinks it is important for judges to have better training to deal with cases involving victims of sexual assault. I believe that justices of the Supreme Court must have another important skill, and that is the ability to communicate in Canada's two official languages.

Judges Act  Madam Speaker, I commend my colleague from Sarnia—Lambton on her speech. Obviously, it is hard to have a perfect bill. We can see some improvements, but there could have been more. I, too, think that Bill C-3 is not perfect. I have a question about interference in provincial jurisdictions.

Judges Act  Madam Speaker, we know that my colleague likes to talk. I do too, but I also like to take action. What goes around comes around. As my colleague mentioned, in 2017, Bill C-337, which was introduced by former Conservative member Rona Ambrose, received the unanimous consent of the House.

Alexis Lafrenière  Mr. Speaker, as a lifelong fan of the Rimouski Océanic, I am very proud to point out to my colleagues that a star player from our club, Alexis Lafrenière, was drafted first overall in the NHL draft yesterday. Alexis was drafted by the New York Rangers, and after dominating the Quebec Major Junior Hockey League, I know that he will thrill the crowds in Madison Square Garden just as he did in the Colisée de Rimouski.

Proceedings on the bill entitled An Act relating to certain measures in response to COVID-19  Mr. Speaker, I would like to thank my colleague from Kingston and the Islands for his speech. My question is very simple. I heard my colleague talk about the priority and needs of the people in his riding and all of Ontario. On September 18, the Premier of Quebec, François Legault, and the Premier of Ontario, Doug Ford, very clearly set out the provinces' health care needs.
