John Pritchard School  Mr. Speaker, I am grateful for the opportunity to recognize the parents, students and staff at John Pritchard School in my riding. Last month, the school celebrated its 105th anniversary. Over the last century, John Pritchard students have lived through countless challenges, including two world wars and two global health pandemics.

Judges Act  Mr. Speaker, I am very honoured to put a few words on the record about this very important legislation, which really means a lot to the women in the country and sets an example for the world on what we should be doing to train our judges. I want to congratulate Rona Ambrose, who is a personal hero of mine.

Judges Act  Mr. Speaker, I would like to take this opportunity to thank the minister for her very brave remarks. It certainly is not easy, particularly on the floor of the House of Commons, even virtually, to put on the record stories of the rape and victimization of women and the horrors they have gone through.

Immigration, Refugees and Citizenship  Mr. Speaker, Charie Santiago is dying of stage four cancer. Her dying wish is to be reunited with her sister, her best friend, and for her to be by her side in her final moments. However, her sister is in the Philippines and has been denied entry into Canada by the Liberal government.

Immigration, Refugees and Citizenship  Mr. Speaker, I think “inspiring” is absolutely the wrong word to use. The Liberals have been announcing reuniting families for months and still nothing. Canadians deserve the dignity and clarity of timelines, rather than “more details coming soon”. Donna McCall was dying of cancer and her children were denied entry into Canada.

Health  Mr. Speaker, under the Liberal government, Health Canada is permitting dozens of large-scale medical cannabis grow-ops with hundreds of plants to operate in the suburbs of my riding. One family suffered a break-in after their home was mistaken for the grow-op next door. Health Canada is refusing to share critical information that law enforcement needs in order to shut down any illicit gro-ops.

Resumption of Debate on Address in Reply  Mr. Speaker, that is a very important question. I have raised this issue on several occasions in the House of Commons to a deafening silence from the Liberal members. In my riding, female-owned businesses are suffering under the lack of support from the Liberal government, and, in particular, the commercial rent assistance program.

Resumption of Debate on Address in Reply  Mr. Speaker, I appreciate the strange question from the Liberal member opposite. However, I wish to take this time and use the privileged position I am in and speak to Liberal governing members of this country and urge them to consider family reunification, particularly that of Charie Santiago.

Resumption of Debate on Address in Reply  Mr. Speaker, I would like to take this opportunity to say that I appreciate the very fervent support of the member and his party for their province of Quebec. I also support my province of Manitoba. I appreciate that his party has been standing up for the province's desire for autonomy on health care and child care, and the many other areas where the Liberal government is trampling over provincial jurisdiction.

Resumption of Debate on Address in Reply  Mr. Speaker, it is an honour to put my thoughts on the record today with respect to the 2020 Speech from the Throne. There was a lot of hype generated from the Liberal benches for the speech, particularly because the Prime Minister prorogued Parliament with the excuse that his government needed six weeks off from parliamentary duties to formulate it, but in reality, there was not a whole lot new in this throne speech.

Resumption of debate on Address in Reply  Madam Speaker, the member for Brampton South mentioned how great the throne speech was for women, but what I find in my riding is that the way the government designed many of its programs for small businesses is not doing a great job at all for women who are small business owners.

Immigration, Refugees and Citizenship  Mr. Speaker, Canadian Sarah Campbell has been battling thyroid cancer for months and needs her U.K. fiancé by her side, but they have been separated due to the border closures. Sarah has written 123 letters to Liberal cabinet ministers asking for a compassionate exemption. When she finally received a response, it was nothing but a cold-hearted, useless letter from the department.

COVID-19 Pandemic and Other Matters  Mr. Speaker, I will be splitting my time with the member for Leeds—Grenville—Thousand Islands and Rideau Lakes. It is hard not to feel disappointed in one's government when every day there is a new scandal. Does the Prime Minister believe it was ethical to award a near $1-billion exclusive contract to his friends at WE Charity, yes or no?

COVID-19 Pandemic and Other Matters  Mr. Speaker, given the ongoing ethics investigation, will the Prime Minister and his family be stepping back from their involvement with the WE Charity until the investigation is concluded, yes or no?

COVID-19 Pandemic and Other Matters  Mr. Speaker, I think it would be inappropriate to continue involvement with an investigation ongoing by the Ethics Commissioner, but at the very least, will the Prime Minister confirm he will not invoke cabinet confidence on this matter, commit to full transparency and allow the Ethics Commissioner to complete his investigation free from interference, yes or no?
