Foreign Affairs committee  That's “any other standard consistent with international human rights”. Well, the standard articulated in paragraphs 5(2)(a) to (c) is quite comprehensive. If the IFC's performance standards and accompanying guidance notes, the voluntary principles, and provisions that include the full complement of our international human rights obligations are included, that would be extremely comprehensive.

I think the government response includes some elements of the advisory group report that are central, that are key to reforming policy in this area, but it's an incomplete response. And in particular, in the context of my presentation, it's incomplete regarding the provision of services to extractive companies.
