One passage that I think should stand out for all of us is this one: Aside from the misunderstandings and missteps that occurred in relation to AB, many of which were procedural in nature, the real culprit, which failed to provide an adequate response to AB's behaviour and, indeed, to society's rightful expectations, was the Youth Criminal Justice Act itself.
