I practise in the “Kingston of the west”, Abbotsford, surrounded by federal and provincial prisons, so part of my practice is not simply representing people charged with offences; it also involves a considerable amount of post-sentencing work dealing with people in prison, either in relation to prison issues that arise under the auspices of the Correctional Service of Canada or before the National Parole Board in terms of conditional release.
