Canada Revenue Agency  Mr. Speaker, one has to wonder about investigators who party with the professionals they are investigating. The minister has been reading from the same pink notecard for weeks: she updated the strategy, she audited the taxpayers, she has taken legal action, and she has invested in the fight against tax evasion.

The Budget  Mr. Speaker, for the information of my colleague, my neighbour from Thérèse-De Blainville, Rivière-du-Nord is in Quebec, on planet Earth. My colleagues from Joliette and Pierre-Boucher—Les Patriotes—Verchères met with the UMQ. Its demands are the same as the Bloc's. We were calling for clear budgets that do not cause endless squabbles between Quebec and Ottawa, which we unfortunately did not get.

The Budget  Mr. Speaker, I thank my colleague from Salaberry—Suroît for her question. I agree with her, and I think it is terrible. We in the Bloc Québécois believe in free education for children, and that begins with early childhood centres. We believe in social equity, and that begins with the taxes that we pay.

The Budget  Mr. Speaker, I thank my colleague opposite. I want to thank him for thanking me for a flawed speech. I look forward to giving a speech that is more to his liking and hearing the Liberals applaud. That being said, I sympathize with what my colleague said about the 40 Liberal members who are part of the Liberal caucus.

The Budget  Mr. Speaker, as I said at the beginning, there are some good things in this budget. Not all of it is bad, but it does not take long to get through the good stuff and find out that the bad stuff is so bad it pretty much cancels out the good stuff. For employment insurance, the extended benefit periods apply to 12 regions in Canada.

The Budget  Mr. Speaker, this budget reveals the government's real priorities. It shows not what the government said it would do, but what it is really willing to do and where it is really putting the money. The Bloc Québécois is taking this process very seriously. We want to be absolutely sure that we are speaking on behalf of Quebeckers and that we understand their needs and support them in getting the tools they need to address the challenges they face.

Taxation  Mr. Speaker, seasonal workers are on the verge of falling into the infamous black hole, a period of no employment insurance benefits. However, there is nothing for these workers in the budget. We have sick people waiting in hospital hallways and students going into debt to learn, but this budget abandons them as well, since it does not contain any transfer increases.

Jean Lapierre  Mr. Speaker, on March 29, all of Quebec was shocked by the tragedy in the Magdalen Islands. On behalf of the Bloc Québécois, I wish to extend my heartfelt condolences to the families and friends of the seven victims of that terrible accident. I am not exaggerating when I say that Quebeckers across the province are thinking of them.

Air Canada  Mr. Speaker, in 1988, the federal government appeased the Air Canada workers who were worried about its privatization by including a requirement in the legislation for the company to keep maintenance centres in Montreal, Mississauga and Winnipeg. For years now, Air Canada has been breaking the law with impunity, and the government has let the company get away with it.

Jim Hillyer  Mr. Speaker, like every member here in the House, I was saddened this morning to learn of the passing of the hon. member for Medicine Hat—Cardston—Warner, our colleague Jim Hillyer. On behalf of myself and the Bloc Québécois, I wish to extend my heartfelt condolences to his family, his wife, his four children, his loved ones, his constituents, and the members of his caucus.

Canada Revenue Agency  Mr. Speaker, on Thursday, March 10, my colleague from Joliette asked a question about the Isle of Man tax avoidance scheme involving KPMG clients. In response, the Minister of National Revenue stated, “...there is no amnesty...” I have a simple question. Since there was no amnesty, what penalties is the CRA imposing, and when will criminal charges be laid?

International Trade  Mr. Speaker, even though the WTO and NAFTA tribunals have always rejected accusations of dumping and illegal subsidies against our forestry industry, Quebec changed its forestry system in order to be above reproach. Since 2013, we have sold our wood at public auction, just like in the United States.

Air Canada  Mr. Speaker, “It is such a shame that we have to demonstrate to ask the law and order government to obey the law. It is ridiculous. We are losing the types of jobs that we need in this country.” That is exactly what the current Prime Minister said in 2012, when he was standing side by side with the Aveos workers.

Employment  Mr. Speaker, Bell Helicopter is losing jobs, CAE is losing jobs, Bombardier is losing jobs, and Aveos has lost jobs. The existing law on Air Canada is the best guarantee of keeping airplane maintenance in Canada now and in the future. However, this law was violated and the government has never intervened.

National Defence  Mr. Speaker, last week, the government shared its plan for combatting ISIS. Although we are pleased with the Prime Minister's intentions on the humanitarian aid front, his plan falls short, and here is why: without a direct military contribution, the humanitarian aid that we are planning to provide may never reach the people hardest hit by the conflict.
