Carbon Pricing  Mr. Speaker, after eight years with this Bloc Québécois-backed government in power, parents are struggling. They have to cut back on everything, including meeting their children's needs. I do not know why people on the other side are laughing; there is nothing funny about what I am saying.

Carbon Pricing  Mr. Speaker, things are so bad in our beautiful Canada that retired seniors have to go back to work to cover basic needs such as food and home heating. It is shameful. That is the reality after eight years of this Liberal government that is supported by the Bloc Québécois. Quebec was the province most affected by inflation for the fourth month in a row.

Carbon Pricing  Mr. Speaker, of all the provinces, Quebec is the one most affected by inflation. Quebeckers are spending 23% more for their groceries. Food banks are swamped with people no longer able to afford supermarket prices, but this is a matter of utter indifference to this government and to the Bloc Québécois, which wants to drastically increase the tax.

Housing  Mr. Speaker, a recent survey shows that one in two young people are living from paycheque to paycheque, and eight out of 10 young people say they are unable to buy a home. This is where eight years of a Liberal government have led us, and the Bloc is complicit with the Liberals, whose carbon tax increases are driving up the cost of everything we buy.

Carbon Pricing  Mr. Speaker, the finance minister said that she would not pour fuel on the fire of inflation. She added $44 billion in new spending in the 2023 budget, throwing a return to balanced budgets out the window. Now we have the Bloc Québécois trying to convince people that the carbon tax does not apply in Quebec.

Leader of the Conservative Party of Canada  Mr. Speaker, after eight years of this government, everything feels broken. The NDP-Liberal coalition has made life impossible for many Canadians. Groceries, housing—everything is expensive, and the half-measures proposed by this government will make no difference whatsoever. Canadians do not need out-of-touch, insensitive politicians who do not care about their everyday concerns and struggles.
