Public Safety  Mr. Speaker, does the Minister of Public Safety expect us to believe that for three months his office withheld information from him that the most notorious murderer and serial rapist in Canada had been transferred to a medium-security prison? It is clear that the minister likely knew about the transfer in March and did nothing.

Public Safety  Mr. Speaker, the Prime Minister is in town, so why will he not stand and answer these questions? The minister has misled Canadians before. He has said at least 11 times that law enforcement requested the Emergencies Act; that was false. He said that Bill C-21 was not going to ban guns used by hunters and farmers; that was false.

The Environment  Mr. Speaker, last week, many Canadians were subjected to poor air quality from wildfires across this country. However, in my community, many suffer from terrible air quality every day. While visiting one of my constituents in Langton, Norfolk County, I sat in their backyard and my eyes were burning.

Carbon Pricing  Mr. Speaker, many families, especially those who live in rural communities, have to drive out of necessity. They drive to school, work, medical appointments and social activities. Families are already struggling with higher cost of living expenses. Now the Liberal government wants to add two more carbon taxes on financially stressed Canadians.

Carbon Pricing  Mr. Speaker, this carbon tax costs lower-income Canadians the most. It is an unfair tax. Carbon tax 2 is coming at a time when many Canadians are struggling just to feed themselves. Now every time a Canadian fills up their car, they will be paying an additional tax on the GST and the HST.

Taxation  Mr. Speaker, the fact is that the Liberals have not met one single climate target. Liberal taxes are breaking the backs of Canadians. Liberal policies are discouraging workers by clawing back more and more of what Canadians earn. The Liberals are making it impossible to get ahead.

Taxation  Mr. Speaker, the Liberal government has created a cost-of-living crisis. Housing prices have doubled under the Liberals. Many Canadians are skipping meals just to keep up with their bills. Now the Liberals plan a 41¢ per litre tax increase on heat, gas and food. When will the Liberal government come to its senses and cancel its harmful tax increases?

Canada Infrastructure Bank  Mr. Speaker, McKinsey & Company has been connected to the Canada Infrastructure Bank since the beginning. It was McKinsey's CEO, Dominic Barton, who recommended the bank's creation. They then funnelled from the bank $1.4 million in contracts to McKinsey. Then a bunch of McKinsey loyalists were hired at the bank.

Labour  Mr. Speaker, over the past few days, we have witnessed the largest public service strike in over 40 years. Canadians are suffering because of the Liberal government's incompetence. More than 1,100 students are locked out of school on the Six Nations of the Grand River because of this strike.

Labour  Mr. Speaker, they are not working hard enough. The tax deadline is just a few days away. Because 35,000 CRA employees are on strike, Canadians are left without the support that they need to file their taxes. It is the lowest-income Canadians who will suffer the most from this strike.

Labour  Mr. Speaker, we are experiencing the largest public service union strike in over 40 years, even though the government has spent 50% more, $21 billion more, on bureaucracy. That is some special kind of incompetence, and still the public service is demoralized. The government has wasted $22 billion on Liberal-connected contracts and outside consulting firms.

Labour  Mr. Speaker, Canadians need leadership and accountability from the Prime Minister. Canadians are paying for the lack of leadership by the Prime Minister. Maybe he does not care about passport lines because he has never had to wait in one. Maybe he does not care about broken airports because he flies on a private jet.

Points of Order  Madam Speaker, justice does not only have to be done but also be seen to have been done in order to uphold the dignity of the House. When a member, four times, says something so patently offensive as calling another hon. member a liar, it must be dealt with. Our member said it once and was removed from the House.

Online Streaming Act  Madam Speaker, it is very sad. With the interest that this bill has generated among grassroots, average, everyday Canadians, it is very sad that the Liberals did not take this to heart but actually sought closure. We should have had prolonged debate on this bill so that the Liberals could convince Canadians that they were in fact not taking—
