Health committee  Alberta's incidence of COVID cases is higher than those of all nine provinces and of 50 American states, higher even than India's. Jason Kenney's inability to lead brought us this, and now, unfortunately, Alberta has become a threat to the rest of Canada. Take the work camps in the oil sands. Many are fly-in, fly-out.

Support of Oil and Gas Sector  Cenovus, on its website, says, “We believe companies that fail to adapt to this transition will face growing carbon-related risks, while those that act now will position themselves for long-term business resilience.” I can also quote Premier Jason Kenney, who told his party faithful that Alberta could no longer stick its head in the ground and “pretend that the aspirations behind the Paris thing are not hugely influential in how capital is allocated and how market access decisions are made”.

United Nations Declaration on the Rights of Indigenous Peoples Act  I followed his rights framework all the way until I got lost with Avatar. I thought maybe he was going to go full Jason Kenney and start talking about Bigfoot. Make no mistake: The brutal and violent genocide of indigenous peoples by successive French and British settlers in these lands is by no means a Hollywood story.

Laurentian University in Sudbury  How can Campus Saint-Jean contribute to francophone immigration in her province? How should the federal government support this francophone immigration, despite Jason Kenney?

Laurentian University in Sudbury  In violation of the contracts that were signed between the faculty of Saint-Jean, the University of Alberta and the governments of Alberta, the promised adequate funding to operate, maintain, expand and enhance the school, the UCP government, the Conservative government in Alberta and the cuts to post-secondary education are threatening the very existence of Campus Saint-Jean, its very survival. Just like in Ontario, Jason Kenney and his government is failing to live up to its obligations, and this has profound implications for the future of French-language instruction and vitality in Alberta, so it must be addressed by the federal government.

Laurentian University in Sudbury  If we allow this precedent to happen at Laurentian, we can bet our bottom dollar that premiers like Jason Kenney and other right wingers will use the CCAA to attack public institutions. This is not an example of the reason that legislation was put in place, and it cannot be used at Laurentian today.

Official Languages committee  Apparently, however, they are facing resistance from the Alberta government. If you have to rely on Jason Kenney to make the right decisions, it's a little like the play Waiting for Godot: you might be waiting a very long time. Do you think there's any way to get around the dollar-for-dollar matching contribution rule, and that the federal government could do what it did with the Université de l'Ontario français and provide the funding itself?

Official Languages committee  I have two sisters, cousins and many other relatives who were educated there. It's all well and good to blame Doug Ford and Jason Kenney, but what will the Liberal government do to help these francophone institutions? You have the power to support these institutions; you have the portfolio. I know it's a collaboration, but what are you going to do to help them, other than pointing fingers?

Income Tax Act  I would like to begin by recognizing the news from a few weeks that the Supreme Court of Canada dismissed the challenge of Jason Kenney, Doug Ford and Scott Moe in a clear ruling that it is within the ability of the federal government to put a backstop price on pollution if the provinces and territories fail to act.

Economic Statement Implementation Act, 2020  He even upped the ante recently with legislation that threatens a 10-year jail sentence for someone shipping wine into Ontario. His friend and former colleague, Jason Kenney in Alberta, could regain a lot of his lost popularity. He is at rock bottom right now. He could become much more popular if he changed the rules so that we could ship British Columbia wine to Alberta.

Transport committee  Thank you, Mr. Chair. First, before I get to the questions, allow me to quote Alberta Premier Jason Kenney, who called the bank's recent irrigation investment in Alberta: ...a great expression of confidence in the future of agriculture and indeed Alberta's future. It's the first project developed under the Canada Infrastructure Bank's recently announced $10 billion growth plan.

Business of Supply  I know that the former Conservative government appointed General Vance as chief of the defence staff and that the then prime minister, Prime Minister Harper, and the former minister of national defence Jason Kenney, who is now the premier of Alberta, were aware of the allegations and investigations being conducted in 2015. They asked General Vance to lead the program to stamp out sexual misconduct in the military, Operation Honour.

Business of Supply  Mr. Speaker, I find this remarkable. We know now that Stephen Harper and Jason Kenney, when he was defence minister, were aware of the allegations and investigated them back in 2015. However, they then went on to appoint General Vance to lead the program to stamp out sexual misconduct in the military with Operation Honour.

Business of Supply  After billions of dollars and thousands of bureaucrats, a year later the federal government is saying it is not its job. It is Legault's job, Doug Ford's job, or Jason Kenney's job. Liberals will not provide any support on this or any guidance. All they are going to do is have the Prime Minister come out of Rideau Cottage and say, “Well, I think you should lock down more.”

Natural Resources committee  Minister, last year you announced a $750-million emissions reduction fund, with the goal of reducing our GHG emissions and putting our energy sector workers back to work. You know it's a great announcement when both Elizabeth May and Jason Kenney congratulate you for it. Can you update the committee on the work you've done since you announced it and where the $569 million in the main estimates will be invested this coming fiscal year?
