Government Operations committee  One of the requirements at the beginning of the process was that PHAC wanted to be able to distribute to not just 14 health organizations, but to 3,400—I think it's 3,400 or so—hospitals and all types of health organizations and be able to put those orders through a system. We have very good systems to accept boxes, and Purolator to accept pallets, but we do not have a system to manage orders for 3,400 addresses; Amazon does.

Status of Women committee  Thank you for the question. We serve over 5,000 communities. We fund over 3,400 community organizations and 5,600 vital community programs. We have 79 members, just to be clear on that as well, not 88. In terms of the specifics around the number of employees, I'm sorry.

Status of Women committee  The United Way Centraide network is second only to government in funding for vital community services focused on eliminating poverty and removing barriers to social inclusion for vulnerable people. United Way Centraide Canada and our network have been on the front lines since this pandemic broke in Canada, and our work has been multi-faceted.

Finance committee  Stratford mayor Dan Mathieson has said it would have a catastrophic impact on the community, causing the loss of more than 3,400 jobs and decimating the downtown core. It is essential to save the festival, and we have taken a number of immediate steps to help stabilize the organization. We have launched a ticket donation campaign.

Finance committee  At Western, that support has been augmented by our own $2.6 million student relief fund, donated, in part, by our alumni, faculty and staff. We have assisted more than 3,400 Western students who were in immediate need—a surprising number. In early March, the Canadian Institutes of Health Research invested new funds to fast-track a national response to COVID, and two of these pan-Canadian teams are led by Western faculty members.

Canada Emergency Student Benefit Act  I am really proud of that history, but many people do not realize that the Durham region adds $300 million every single year to Ontario's farm production. In 2017, there were 3,400 jobs in the forestry, fishing and hunting sectors. There are over 200 farms in the Durham region. These farms produce high-quality food for Canadians. Whether it is beef, lamb, honey, cider, fruit, vegetables or wine, we are very proud of the products we produce in the Durham region.

Information & Ethics committee  The table that I provided is designed to demonstrate that, when I was appointed commissioner in 2018, there was a backlog of 3,489 cases. I was just taking up the job and there were already 3,400 complaints and investigations pending. On April 1, 2019, after a year of work, we had lowered this figure to 3,300, but the grey shaded area in the table shows what remained from my initial backlog, whereas the pink section represents new complaints.

Australian Wildfires  This fundraiser ended up inspiring further initiatives in town, including the owners of our local IDA Pharmacy, Hank and Vidhi. deciding to donate 50% of all profits on January 12. After a few weeks of hard work, Meila, Paisley and Maverick raised $3,400 Australian dollars, proving that no matter what age, people can make meaningful changes here at home and around the world.

Industry committee  The international band being designated, which is referred to as “the 3,500” actually goes from 3,400 megahertz up to 3,800 megahertz. Currently, we're using only 175 megahertz of that. They don't need to actually displace the existing licensees. They can look at what the government has already identified as 75 megahertz below the existing band that could be made available, and 100 megahertz of what is currently referred to as the “C band”—3,700 megahertz to 3,800 megahertz—and make that available.

Indigenous and Northern Affairs committee  We actually had sessions with employees by themselves, and we did engagement sessions. More than 3,400 employees participated in those sessions, which were chaired and organized by the employees themselves. They developed the recommendations and they continue to work on the transformation, so they have been involved and engaged since the beginning.

Citizenship and Immigration committee  According to our numbers, if the measure had been in place in 2017 and 2018, between 3,200 and 3,400 people could have been affected, given that they had made a number of refugee claims. Approximately 75% of them crossed the border irregularly. Most of those cases have not yet been processed by the board.

Petitions  Speaker, I am pleased to present an e-petition in respect of an important initiative in women's health, that of the health risks associated with breast implants. The more than 3,400 signatories call on the government, specifically Health Canada, to investigate the correlation between breast implants, autoimmune diseases, and breast implant-associated anaplastic large cell lymphoma, BIA-ALCL, to ensure that patients are at the centre of these undertakings; to seek greater transparency from manufacturers of breast implants and to hold plastic surgeons to a higher level of accountability in respect of the health risks associated with breast implants; to require mandatory testing of recipients of implants for BIA-ALCL; and to have mandatory reporting of any confirmed cases of this disease.
