We have close to 6,000 acres of land in total, and that's just my community, at Westbank First Nation.

We have looked at and examined the need of why it is that we're here and how we can become successful. One of the things we come back to is we need to train people to help us move the communities forward.

I have been chief of the Westbank First Nation for about 20 plus years right now, and also chairman of the Land Advisory Board. My traditional Okanagan name is Seemoo, which in our Okanagan language means “connected to the land”.
