Business of Supply  Mr. Speaker, I would like the member to be honest in comparing what the Conservative government did for veterans in its 10 years and what our government has done for veterans in our three years. Does he have the courage to say the truth to the Canadian people?

Criminal Code  Mr. Speaker, if we read this bill in its entirety and analyze it properly, we see that it is a very important bill for human rights. Could my colleague further illustrate how this bill would help with respect to intimate partner violence?

Democratic Reform  Mr. Speaker, Bill C-76 is a generational overhaul of the Canada Elections Act for the 21st century. In 2014, Elections Canada struck its Advisory Group for Disability Issues to provide advice about accessibility. All Canadians have the right to participate fully in the electoral process.

Climate Change Champion  Mr. Speaker, Michael Haddad is a Lebanon UNDP climate change champion. Today, he is with us, as he has travelled to Canada to walk 100 kilometres to the North Pole. Completely paralysed from the chest down since the age of six, Michael is going to take up this challenge for humanity in order to raise awareness about climate change around the world.

Conflict of Interest and Ethics Commissioner's Report  Madam Speaker, the easiest thing to do is to criticize someone, especially when that person is achieving something the previous government was unable to achieve. I would like to remind my colleagues in the other parties that they do not see what the Prime Minister has achieved, with his historical investment in infrastructure to create jobs and grow the economy, protecting the environment, lifting hundreds of thousands of children out of poverty, shifting Canada's name from the bottom line to the highest international levels, and putting Canada on the front line of the G7.

Taxation  Mr. Speaker, tax season has begun. By filing their income tax returns, Canadians get access to the tax credits and benefits that will help them to make ends meet. However, some people find it difficult to file their tax return. Can the minister inform the House of what our government is doing to help low-income Canadians file their tax returns?

The Budget  Madam Speaker, I would like to assure my colleague and all members in the chamber that she touches the spirit of the budget, how the budget is encouraging women locally and internationally. We have a program to go even further, out of Canada, to make life better for women. Here, we help women who have the intention to do a difficult job.

The Budget  Madam Speaker, I would like to assure my colleague about the following. When someone needs to buy a house, if he does not have the money, he takes out a mortgage in order to have a better life for his wife and children. That is exactly what we are doing. We are borrowing money in order to invest in our infrastructure, our environment, families, students, science, our research.

The Budget  Madam Speaker, I thank my colleague whom I have a lot of respect for. I enjoy working with him on committee. I would like to reassure my colleague on the other side that the government will not have barriers, it will destroy barriers, and it will give access to young women, young children.

The Budget  Madam Speaker, the third budget of the hon. Minister of Finance builds on the preceding ones. Those budgets improved the performance of our economy, allowing it to outpace our G7 partners. Our Minister of Finance and our government are following a rigorous plan that is delivering outstanding results in the best interests of Canadians.

Canada Elections Act  Madam Speaker, I would like every Canadian to understand that any citizen has access to the office of the Prime Minister of Canada. They can simply write to him about the issues that concern them and I can assure them they will get the proper answer. In addition, the Prime Minister at any public political activity or appeal spends many hours agreeing to citizens' requests to have a photo taken with him.

Laval Meals on Wheels  Mr. Speaker, Laval's Meals on Wheels association comprises eight independent Meals on Wheels organizations that prepare and deliver over 150,000 low-cost meals to seniors and vulnerable people in Laval. The meals are prepared according to the instructions and under the supervision of health professionals and nutritionists.

Violence Against Women  Mr. Speaker, today marks the sad anniversary of the day when 14 young female students at the École polytechnique de Montréal had their lives cut short by a madman. December is an important month for raising Canadians' awareness of gender-based violence, a problem that unfortunately remains all too common in our society.

Budget Implementation Act, 2017, No. 2  Madam Speaker, I thank my colleague opposite for his speech. I have to say that our government is very responsible. Why? Because our government decided to invest in creating jobs for Canadians and supporting middle-class families. Does my colleague have anything to say about a government that created over half a million jobs all across the country from coast to coast?
