Petitions  Mr. Speaker, the next petition comes from Canadians from across the country who are concerned about how Turkish, Pakistani and Bahraini officials have committed human rights abuses against thousands of Turks and Turkish Canadians, particularly eight current Turkish Canadians. They are responsible for causing wrongful detentions of over 300,000 people around the world.

Petitions  Madam Speaker, I am pleased to stand and present a petition on behalf of Canadians who are concerned about what is happening in India. The petitioners are calling on Canada to recognize what the report from the U.S. Commission on International Religious Freedom says: that various actors are supporting and enforcing sectarian policies in India.

Carbon Pricing  Mr. Speaker, it is wonderful that the parliamentary secretary has so much confidence in his minister, but I do not. When the minister was responsible for Canadian heritage, he had an opportunity to address online exploitation. In fact, in his own backyard, there is a company called MindGeek, the world's largest pornography company.

Carbon Pricing  Mr. Speaker, it is a privilege to stand up this evening to talk about a question I asked the Minister of Environment back in June. I was concerned that the carbon tax plan was simply that, a tax plan, and it does nothing to benefit the world we live in. I pointed out that hard-working families in Alberta are struggling to meet the needs of everyday life due to the fact that the government has imposed not one but two carbon taxes on all Albertans.

Criminal Code  Madam Speaker, it just seems unique or perhaps interesting to me. We see that the Liberal government has been pushing this euthanasia regime that would open up assisted suicide even to those who are mentally ill. I am just wondering if there is going to be any interplay between this bill that the member is bringing forward and the euthanasia regime that the Liberal government has been rapidly advancing in this country.

Petitions  Madam Speaker, I rise today to present a petition from Canadians from across the country, including my own constituents, who are concerned about the age of consent and age verification of those depicted in pornographic material. The petitioners note that the government should follow recommendation 2 from the Standing Committee on Access to Information, Privacy and Ethics report on MindGeek, which requires that all content-hosting platforms in Canada verify the age and consent prior to that content being uploaded.

Petitions  Madam Speaker, the next petition I have to present today is from Canadians from across this country who are concerned about the human rights protections in India. The petitioners say that according to the U.S. Commission on International Religious Freedom, various actors are supporting and enforcing sectarian policies and seeking to establish a religious state in India.

Petitions  Madam Speaker, the next petition is from Canadians from across the country who want Canadians to be protected against discrimination. Canadians can and do face political discrimination, and it is a fundamental right in Canada to be politically active and vocal. It is in the best interests of Canadian democracy to protect public debate and the exchange of different ideas.

Petitions  Madam Speaker, the next petition is from petitioners from across the country who are concerned with how easy it is for young people to gain access to sexually explicit material online, including violent, racist and degrading explicit material. They comment on how this access is causing a public health crisis and is a cause for public safety concern.

Petitions  Madam Speaker, the next petition is from Canadians from across the country who are concerned about the health and safety of Canadian firearm owners. The petitioners recognize the importance of owning firearms and are concerned about the hearing loss caused by the damaging noise levels of firearms and the need for noise reduction.

Petitions  Madam Speaker, the next petition I am presenting is on behalf of Canadians who are concerned that certain charities could be targeted based on their views and forced into a values test. The petitioners note that the Liberals have promised to deny charitable status to groups whose views differ from the government's views on abortion.

Online Pornography  Mr. Speaker, after eight years of the Liberal government, Traffickinghub continues to operate with impunity. New undercover videos confirm that MindGeek continues to profit off these videos of CSAM, sex trafficking and rape. This is what survivors have said all along. The Canadian company is facing nine lawsuits with 195 victims, and these courageous survivors tell me that their fight continues to take these videos down off of MindGeek websites.

Questions Passed as Orders for Returns  With regard to airport rent collected by the government: (a) since 2016, how much in ground rent did Transport Canada receive from airports, broken down by year; (b) what is the breakdown of (a) by airport; (c) what are Transport Canada's projections related to how much revenue it expects to receive in airport rent in (i) 2023, (ii) 2024, in total and broken down by airport; and (d) what was the net cost and revenue loss of the government's decision to waive ground rent from March to December 2020?

Criminal Code  Madam Speaker, some of the reverse onus provisions in this bill apply only to violent offences with a weapon. I wonder why the government did not include other violent offences where a weapon was not used. Does the member believe that these crimes are less serious? Conservatives have been calling for a total repeal of Bill C-75.

Petitions  Madam Speaker, the next petition I have to present is from Canadians from across the country, including many of my own constituents. The petitioners are concerned about the age of consent and the age verification of those depicted in pornographic material. They are asking that the government follow recommendation 2 of the 2001 Standing Committee on Access to Information, Privacy and Ethics report on MindGeek, which required all content hosted on these platforms to be verified in age and consent prior to uploading it.
