Committees of the House Mr. Speaker, I listened carefully to the member's speech, and I kept hearing about the price on pollution going up. The member is misleading Canadians by saying that there is this price on pollution but is leaving out the part about how this price is returned to Canadians through rebates, and the rebates also continue to go up.

Committees of the House Mr. Speaker, first, I wanted to correct the record. The Minister of Health did not say, “Let the planet burn.” What the minister was talking about was climate change and the need for Canadians and everyone in this entire world to take climate change seriously. We do not want to see the temperatures increase, and we do not want to see the world burn.

Privilege Madam Speaker, so far, what I have been hearing throughout the debate is “do as we say, not as we do”. It has been indicated several times that the former Conservative Speaker also promoted and went to fundraising events. It has been cleared up in this case that the fundraising event invitation did not go out from the Speaker or from the Speaker's office.
