Subcommittee on Food Safety committee  In layman's terms, which are the only terms in which I can relate it, we produce an antibody that would be engineered to detect a certain pathogen, be it salmonella, listeria, or whatever, in partnership with whoever's going to produce a plastic bag. The antibodies are sprayed onto a plastic bag, and then when the invading, dangerous antibody appears, it's engineered for a visual signal.

They talked to me, in that regard, quite specifically about their fears and what they observed in the abattoirs in the U.S.

In addition, I have been sued as serving U.S. secretary a number of times by certain companies within the industry regarding even slaughterhouse inspection and how fast the assembly line can be put and the number of workers on the line and all of this.
