Finance committee  Our organization is a member of HEAL and we fully support the infrastructure proposal they bring forward. So we certainly advocate that kind of measure to address health human resources, and as I mentioned in my presentation, we also know there are strategies in place with the pan-Canadian framework document to address some of these health human resources issues on a national basis.

I appreciate the opportunity to be here today in the context of your 2009 pre-budget consultations. CSMLS is the national certifying body for medical laboratory technologists and medical laboratory assistants, and the national professional society for Canada's medical laboratory professionals.
