One of my concerns is that the public tends to look at the fact that the omicron wave is coming down in all of Canada, and in some parts of the north as well. However, that does not mean there are no outbreaks. Every day, there's a new outbreak.

All of us in the department, even before the pandemic, have been very concerned about the most vulnerable population within each community, whether it's first nations, Inuit or Métis, especially individuals who are elders or who have diabetes or cardiovascular diseases.
