Mr. Chair, I would like to begin by asking this week's Treasury Board President whether the supply bill presented is in its usual form. While she is on her feet, perhaps she could end the cover-up and allow the member for Vancouver Granville to speak.

I would like to remind hon. members, especially those who have not been through this procedure before, that voting will begin with the Chair asking those members who are in favour of the clause to all rise, row by row. As the clerk counts the members on my right, they will sit down, row by row, as we complete the count, followed by each row to my left, and we will do the same thing again. Later I will ask those members who are opposed to the clause to rise, again row by row, and the clerk will count the members, row by row, to my right, ending with those members opposed in the rows to my left. That is the way this is going to work.

I will remind hon. members that when we are in committee of the whole, members do not have to be at their usual seats to record their votes. However, what does become important here is that once your row has voted, please take your seats until that particular decision is taken, if you are going to be changing your seats. Just keep that in mind. However, we will make the correction accordingly, and I thank the hon. member.

Mr. Speaker, I rise on a point of order.

I want to convey that I have been touched by the concerns from my colleagues, particularly those of the member from Cape Breton. We have been inside the chamber for about nine hours, and this is the first opportunity I have had to say a few words. I thought it would be appropriate to recognize the efforts of our pages and support staff, who have really been doing a fantastic job.

Mr. Speaker, the opposition and I agree with the message about the pages. They are doing a terrific job tonight.

I would like to seek the unanimous consent of the House to give them a chance to go home and study. Their school year is not over yet. The House could let them go home if we pass the following motion: that the House call on the Prime Minister to waive full solicitor-client privilege and all Cabinet confidences to allow the member for Vancouver Granville to address events that occurred following January 14, 2019, including her time as minister of veterans affairs, her resignation from that position, and her presentation to Cabinet that followed.
