I'll go back to the thing you said about a whole bunch of small infractions. I know this may not be applicable to literature, but if I wanted hear a song, it's probably unrealistic that I would watch seven different YouTube clips to capture the whole song. I would lose the context of the song. Similarly, it would be unlikely that I would go online and find eight or nine different sources to capture the completeness of Mr. Hollingshead's short story.
