No, not at all. I am not concerned by the degree of violence in films. Let us be clear. What I am concerned about is that films with high levels of violence are broadcast during peak viewing hours for children. It is one thing that a film is violent. It is another, however, that the film be broadcast at 7 p.m., which I believe is a problem, and the government has to play a role in addressing it. Far be it from me to suggest that it should prohibit the broadcasting of the film, but it must take into account that our children might be in front of the television screen, whether before 9 p.m. or 10 p.m., and that it is in the public interest that such films not be broadcast before 9 p.m.
