As a note to that meeting, when you folks get together, as much as is possible, documents about what the conclusions and consequences are would be appreciated. One of the challenges with our last meeting was that amendments were being made having all sorts of consequential effects on the rest of the bill. Committee members were being asked to vote parts of the bill out and other parts in. It slows us down beyond what I think we need at this point. So as much as you and Mr. Godfrey are able to settle on something that committee members can see beforehand, rather than in the moment we're facing the clause--decide to strip it out, move it, readjust it--that would be helpful.
