Following up on the same area, then, I'm very sympathetic to what you described as the “look but don't touch” philosophy about parks—don't stand on the grass, don't touch anything. Kids need to get engaged somehow, to get practical experience. At the same time, you talked about kids having their own experiences in the wild without adult supervision.
On the one hand, I heard you say that although parents are afraid about their kids going to camp, camps are safe. They are supervised. On the other hand, you talked about kids going out into the wilderness area unsupervised.
How do you reconcile these concerns, and how do you see that being advanced?
