We've had an ongoing discussion with previous witnesses on the merits of integrating legislatively the protection of vulnerable populations, vulnerable communities, and vulnerable ecosystems. At this point, it would appear that the departments are suggesting that these considerations are adequately incorporated through the risk-assessment process, which is in the implementation stage.
Would you agree or disagree that legislatively we need the law reflect the need to protect vulnerable communities, including Akwesasne for example, as you are downstream from much of the industrial runoff?
