The concept of independence in the Broadcasting Act is defined by the fact that the government does not have the right to dictate policies in matters of programming or journalism to broadcasters. In that context, it is very clear that this pertains to the government. However, when we are talking about a third party, such as a pharmaceutical company, as mentioned by Mr. Carty, the notion of independence does not help the broadcaster to do its work. This exception that would apply to our independence would not allow us to preserve the confidentiality of our journalistic material. Mr. Carty spoke of this earlier.
