I'm told that the Chinese have about two million people working on nothing but cyber because they can probably afford to have two million people working on nothing but cyber. Obviously we can't match those kinds of numbers. You said at one point that lawmakers must lead us away from this, whatever this is. I mean, academia, industry, and so on got us there. I don't think we can pass laws that will change it. I think it obviously has to be a collaborative approach.
How do we combat this? I'm thinking more on the national security side necessarily, but there are applications everywhere. Are we teaching enough folks? Are we opening up the academia enough to get enough people qualified in these areas? I'm thinking national security, but it's equally applicable to the everyday problems that we face with identity theft, and so on.
Do we need to put more emphasis on the education area to get people qualified?
