The Chair Conservative Bob Zimmer

Good morning, everybody. We have some new members of the committee.

Welcome.

First of all, we have to elect a vice-chair. For the NDP, Charlie Angus is the member. We need to have an election.

I'll pass this over to Jean-Denis.

The Clerk of the Committee Mr. Jean-Denis Kusion

Thank you, Chair.

Pursuant to Standing Order 106(2), the second vice-chair must be a member of an opposition party other than the official opposition. I'm now prepared to receive a motion for the second vice-chair.

Nathaniel Erskine-Smith Liberal Beaches—East York, ON

I nominate Charlie Angus.

The Clerk

Mr. Erskine-Smith has moved that Charlie Angus be elected as second vice-chair of the committee. Is it the pleasure of the committee to adopt the motion?

Some hon. members

Agreed.

The Clerk

I declare the motion carried and Charlie Angus duly elected second vice-chair of the committee.

Some hon. members

Hear, hear!

An hon. member

That is unanimous.

Charlie Angus NDP Timmins—James Bay, ON

That's the only time that's going to happen.

The Chair Conservative Bob Zimmer

We're going to suspend to go in camera.
