I believe that would be helpful. Part of the problem is that when day cares hire staff, they start at $9 an hour. You can go to Wal-Mart and start at $10.35 an hour. So where would you work?

Day cares have not had a raise in wages since, I believe, 1992. So yes, that would definitely be a big help.
