I know from previous discussions with industry officials in the mortgage sector that the Interest Act hasn't been updated for 140 years as it relates to mortgage. What could the federal government be doing to give Canadians more flexibility and security by looking at the Interest Act and the types of mortgage options available to first-time homebuyers and others?
