Here's another very interesting issue. I don't quite know how to deal with this one myself. When we did our focus groups with students—again, it comes to the question about experience versus non-experience—we met with many engineering students, young women and young men. When we were talking about why we were there, we introduced the subject that it was about skill shortages and things we need to be concerned about, and hands went up around the table. Engineers in more than one focus group said they had their CV out in organizations and were just not getting taken. I'm not quite sure how to deal with that difference. Again, I think organizations are looking for experience first.
