Mr. Chair, on a point of order, the motion I heard Ms. Harder say she's moving is that we go ahead with those meetings on thalidomide whether we hear from Health Canada by April 9 or not, but that we call Health Canada as the first witness. Is that right? Is that the motion? Okay.

If we don't get anything from Health Canada and we still go ahead and study this, will that be it? We won't be asking for other dates further down the road for further information or anything? For the study, will we be done with it in two days? Or will there be more witnesses further down the road?

The motion states that we would do this on May 9 and May 11, that those dates would be solidified, and that if Health Canada refuses to provide us with the information before April 10, or for some other reason does not, then they would be brought forward as our first witness on May 9.

Can we wait? Maybe we can ask our health officials when they are going to give us their report.

We asked them to give it to us by April 10. That's all I can tell you. We've asked for it.

Mr. Chair, on a point of order, I'm not generally a stickler for detail, but we're in the middle of a vote.
