I understand what you are saying. Where I live, a 67-year old woman was teaching at the kindergarten level, with small toddlers running around the classroom. Do you sincerely believe that this woman had the capacity to run after these children and do the work? She was there because she did not want to stop working, because she did not know what else to do to occupy her days. You have to be reasonable, depending on the trade your in. She was preventing a 22 or 23-year old from coming in to teach this kindergarten class. She wanted to keep her job because she had no idea what else she could do at home. There are times when people should be given the choice, and then there are times when they should not. That lady was a great person, but on occasion she would have to go sit in a corner because she was really tired. She did this job for 45 years. I believe that schools need to recruit younger teachers. I have some trouble accepting the fact that in some trades, they are telling people that they can go on until they are 85 years old if they want to. It seems to me that an 85-year old person is not really able to deal with children in a kindergarten class. I would like to hear your comments on this.
