We would have said maybe five years ago that the biggest problem that immigrants faced in having their credentials assessed was lack of information. I think since that time there has been more information put on federal, provincial, municipal, and organizational websites than we could imagine. The problem now is not having more information but trying to make that information accessible, searchable, and usable.
Lastly, we're finding that immigrants do get work in the labour force. They're less employed than Canadians, but the big issue for them is underemployment. They're working in jobs that are not appropriate to their qualifications.
