Chair, could I get a straw poll, through you, as to whether or not we can go back to what I first offered as a friendly amendment, which would basically see the minister appear before the committee in the next four to six weeks to discuss general topics of interest to the committee?
Is there consensus here, Mr. Chair? I can get into specifics. We'll proceed with the motion, the subamendment, and my amendment, and then, ultimately, Ms. Nash's motion, should it survive as it is.
I just want to know, through you, Chair, whether there is consensus in the committee to determine whether or not to have a simple “have the minister here in the next four to six weeks to discuss a variety of topics”.
