What I intended to say unambiguously--and I repeat, unambiguously--was that there are no grounds for such fears, because nobody's information has ever actually been released with an identification or with any way through which that information could be traced back to that person.
That was the context of the question. As to whether or not people coming from oppressive regimes have reason to fear when they give information to the census, the answer is that they have no reason to fear.
