But when it comes to regulatory powers and the protection of consumers, we don't have that reciprocity. For example, this government cannot recall vehicles; it can only suggest recalls. Those decisions are made in Washington and Tokyo and then we comply.
I think this bill is reasonable. It's one that could be exercised by the commissioner.
