But I have to say that in this context the intellectual property is much more key, because you're talking about monopoly. You're talking about protecting the interests of the investment that went into the innovation.
There are many countries where it's a lot cheaper to make products than it is in Canada. The only way you can protect those interests through a monopoly is through intellectual property of one form or another.
