Your presentation was very informative and gave members an opportunity to learn more about the Kurds in Iran. I agree with what Mr. Silva said about this week's conference. I would go even further and say that I think it is abnormal for countries to have to leave and boycott an event rather than call for the expulsion of people making hateful statements about other groups. If the President of Iran takes advantage of every forum he has to do this, I think he does a disservice to the Iranian people and to international democracy.
You finished your presentation by saying that Canada could take other measures to sanction the Iranian government. Should these sanctions be commercial, economic or diplomatic in nature?
