And it deals with boundary waters—for instance, the Great Lakes, the St. Lawrence River, the St. Croix and Saint John rivers in New Brunswick. But the Minister of the Environment worked with his colleagues in provinces, and in fact provinces have taken similar measures within their own jurisdictions to provide the same kind of protection for waters within their jurisdictions.
