Mr. Chair, I feel that requesting the minister's presence before this committee is unnecessary. He has clarified for all members in the House of Commons the arrangement between the Canadian Forces and the Afghan authorities. His statements are available for all members to review, as well as the public. Therefore, the minister would really have nothing more to add to his current comments than what's already been said. I would hate to see us waste any more time, when our valuable time is currently dealing with issues that are pressing before the committee. And I would agree with Mr. Coderre that we have other commitments we need to address.
