The significant difference between the Northern Gateway project and the two pipelines that were approved by Canada last week—namely Line 3 and the Kinder Morgan—is that these are established pipelines. In the case of Line 3, it's a replacement of stale, aging infrastructure that will double capacity. In the case of Kinder Morgan—and this, I think, is sometimes lost in the discussion—89% of the pipeline route is on existing rights of way—
