I personally believe that it would be in the interest of Mr. Goodale to be here and that he would want to come back to explain these discrepancies in his testimony. Otherwise, we're going to have to find our own explanations for them in our report, particularly his condemnation of the Auditor General.
I agree with some of the comments around the table that he might not answer the questions anyway. So he might not take the opportunity we give him. However, we have a good motion now that allows us to zero in on the crux of the matter, and I'd encourage everyone to support it.
