There's a variety of different situations with varying types of light and darkness, where officers have to shoot from behind barricades, shoot from a kneeling position, shoot from a lying position, standing with barricades to the right, standing with barricades to the left--a variety of situations. Through research, our trainers across North America--who also communicate a fair amount to get the maximum benefit from what other agencies have learned in their experience--try to come up with all the various scenarios that, generally speaking, people would be faced with in that type of shooting situation.
