It would be wonderful if you could find the precise wording to prevent unwarranted development of and within our greenbelt without impacting its ecological integrity. Our concern is that an argument could be made that we are still preserving the ecological integrity if we're allowed to do this and that, because the land is of lower ecological worth, value, or significance.
So perhaps you and your committee could find a wording to enhance protection from unwarranted development, loss of land, and especially its contiguity and wholeness as it is now. The link is very fragile because there are new proposals to break that contiguity.
